Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml is prescribed to patients suffering from itchy and watery eyes due to allergic reactions. Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml belongs to a group of chemicals known as antihistamines that work by blocking histamine and its effects on the human body.Thereby, preventing an inflammatory reaction to occur. Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml is not prescribed to patients under the age of 2 years and is prescribed to pregnant and lactating mothers only is necessary and under the supervision of a doctor.

A drop of Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml in each eye is the recommended dosage. The dosage can be increased to two drops or reduced depending on the patient’s stage of illness and any adverse effects felt by the patient. Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml must be applied with clean hands, make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn’t touch the surface of the eye or any other surface. It is imperative that the tip of the dropper/tube and hands are always clean before the application of Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml.Make sure to shake Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml immediately after each use.

To apply Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml, pull the head back slightly, then the lower eyelid is pulled down to create a small space where a drop of solution from the tip is applied. Close eye for a minute or two after Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml application,while applying pressure at the inner corner of the eye (area near the nose) to prevent solution from draining into the nasal and/or oral passages. Do not rub or blink after applying eye drops.If the recommended dosage is more than one drop of Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop 5 ml then the above steps are to be repeated. Optidine Eye 0.10% Drop may cause blurred vision, headache and dry eyes, these effects are temporary and tend to resolve on their own in a few days’ time.
