About

Also, the drug is prescribed commonly as the first line of action when “Scabies” is suspected. It is safe for use in children (2 years and above) and adults alike, regarding its use in elderly patients (> 65 years), doctors’ advice must strictly be followed.

Lotrix 5% Lotion 60 ml is a synthetic pyrethroid acting as a pesticide against a number of pests like lice, ticks, fleas and etc. It has proven to be toxic to the nervous system of lice and also potentially causes respiratory failure in mites by delaying depolarization mechanism and blockage of transmission of nerve impulses.

Cream /Lotion is gently massaged over the affected area as directed by your doctor, usually, as a one-time application once or at times twice about a week apart. • Scabies (caused by Sarcoptes scabiei or itch mite)

How does Lotrix 5% Lotion 60 ml work

Lotrix 5% Lotion 60 ml works by acting on the cell membranes of these pests by deranging the positively charged sodium ions influx and subsequent depolarization of the cells. This disturbed polarization cycle leads to its neurotoxic effects in lice and respiratory collapse in mites, thereby killing the pests.
