Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is a combination drug that belongs to a class of medicines known as “Antihypertensives”. This drug is prescribed to patients with high blood pressure (normal blood pressure for adults is usually 120/80 mmHg) and to treat patients with mild to moderate chronic heart conditions thus Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is very effective in decreasing the risk of future heart disease. Hypertension if left untreated can cause severe damage to the brain, heart, kidney, blood vessels, and other body organs and may have life-threatening consequences.

Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is chemically composed of 2 chemicals, Bisoprolol (beta-blockers) and Hydrochlorothiazide (Diuretics).  Bisoprolol is a beta-1 selective inhibitor involved in slowing down the heart rate and conduction, as well as stopping kidneys from secreting renin involved in the regulation of blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide enhances saltwater excretion in the form of urine, this increased urine output helps control high blood pressure. Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is available in the form of oral tablets to be swallowed with a glass of water through the mouth with or without a meal, once daily. The dosage at the beginning is set at the lowest effective potency which may be gradually increased to maximum safe dose as per need after 2 weeks. It is advised to ingest Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S a few hours before going to sleep at night as this medicine may cause increased urination and might disturb your sleep. Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is not prescribed to children, pregnant or lactating mothers nor to women who are planning to start a family. Adult Dosage

One tablet of Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is prescribed to be taken orally once every night a few hours before bedtime.

At the beginning of the treatment, a low dose is prescribed. The dose of Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S may be altered after two weeks depending upon the patient’s response to the drug.

Maximum Suggested dose: 20/12.5 mg once a day, orally

Child Dosage

For patients under the age of 18 years, Valvozid Plus Tablet 14 ‘S is not considered safe and is therefore not prescribed.

Elderly Dosage
