Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml was created to bring relief to patients suffering from muscular ailments,post-surgical pain,spinal cord disorders and similar ailments by working on the central nervous system to bring about muscle relaxation.2-3 tablets per day are commonly prescribed to patients to be ingested after food,preferably with a glass of milk.The dosage of Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is dependent upon the patient’s age,medical condition,patient’s response to the drug,any medications patient might be having along with Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml and any adverse effects felt by the patient.It is recommended that patients ingest Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml at the same time each day and put an alarm as a reminder if need be.

Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is not prescribed to patients under the age of 16 years nor is it recommended to expecting and lactating women.A lower dosage of the drug may be prescribed to elderly patients with other illnesses (such as kidney and liver impairment).The intake of alcohol is prohibited while undergoing treatment with Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml as it may cause extreme dizziness.If the patient is having other prescription drugs along with Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml it is imperative that they inform their doctor before taking Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml.

How To Use Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml

Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is to be ingested orally (by mouth) after food with plenty of water to help the easy flow of the tablet into the throat.Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is not to be chewed or crushed but rather to be ingested whole.

Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is to be ingested on the advice of a physician and only for the period of time prescribed,not more as it may lead to the patient experiencing adverse effects.Alcohol use or the use of any drug/relaxant along with Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is ill-advised as that may lead to extreme dizziness.

Adult Dosage

1-2 tablets a day is the commonly prescribed dosage.

Child Dosage

Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml is not prescribed to patients aged 16 years and younger.

Elderly Dosage 

Patients aged 65 years and older and mostly started off at a lower dosage due to reduced kidney and liver function.

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

This drug is not to be taken or prescribed to expecting and lactating mothers as it may have fatal consequences for the unborn child.If you are taking the drug and become pregnant,inform your doctor immediately.Small amounts of this drug can be transferred to the child through breast milk and therefore cause low blood pressure in the child thus Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml isn’t recommended to lactating mothers.If you are planning to conceive and are taking Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml as treatment, then refer to the doctor.The physician is likely to change your medicine or dosage.

  • Feeling dizzy (lightheaded) or weak -If the medication makes you feel dizzy or weak, stop what you’re doing and sit or lie down until you feel better and do not rise too fast or immediately from a sitting or lying down position to a standing posture. Do not drive or use tools or machinery in case of any of these effects.
  • Headaches– In which case make sure you rest and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid the use of alcohol. Take a prescribed painkiller. Consult your doctor if the headaches last longer than a week or are severe
  • Photosensitivity – patients are asked to wear sun protective clothes when going outside including gloves and hat,to apply generous amounts of broad spectrum sunblock along with wearing sunglasses.Patients are advised to do all necessary work after sunset so as to reduce or eliminate sun exposure while undergoing treatment with Muscoril 4mg Injection 2 ml.
