Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm belongs to a class of topical medicines that are composed of antibacterials (fusidane). Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm is used to treat skin infections caused by certain strains of bacteria, being particularly effective against staphylococci, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, and some sensitive and resistant strains to methicillin. Skin conditions indicated for treatment include infectious dermatitis, folliculitis, impetigo, nail infection, and others.

Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm contains is chemically composed of Fusidic acid which acts by inhibiting protein synthesis and consequently ribosomal disaggregation in susceptible bacteria. Fusidic acid due to its antibacterial activity is also used in combination with steroids to treat infected inflammatory skin conditions as well.

Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm is available in the form of cream and ointment in a tube, meant for external use only. Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm can be applied in a thin coat over the affected area on the skin with clean hands,  three to four times daily. How To Use Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm

Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm is available in the form of cream as well as ointment meant for external use only to be applied with clean hands after washing the affected skin properly and gently drying afterward. Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm is safe for use in adults and children above 2 years of age. In children, careful application and monitoring are advised to avoid accidental ingestion.

Usage

• Wash and gently pat dry your skin before applying the Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm. 
• Carefully rotate and remove the cap from the tube and check the seal. On top of the cap, there is a projection to puncture through the seal.
• Take out a small amount of {{product} on fingertips and gently rub it in to form a thin, even coat over the affected area
• Wash your hands after application (unless dermatitis is affecting your hands), an additional amount can be reapplied if Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm gets wiped off from any part.
•  Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm  is applied to the skin three or four times, or as per the doctor’s suggestion, avoid exposure to direct sunlight
• Your doctor may or may not advise you to wrap the area with a clean bandage so as not to wipe it out. For less frequent applications (once or twice) a dressing may be advised.

Dosage 

Fusil 2% Cream 5 gm is not used for very long periods. Treatment is commonly prescribed for 1-2 weeks or more depending on the response and severity of your infection, prescribed for use three or four times a day. If there’s no improvement in your symptoms after 1 week, consult your doctor who may consider changing the medicine for you. Only a small amount on the tip of the index finger is taken out, just sufficient to cover the infected area, do not use more than advised. 

Pregnancy Use And Lactation
