How To Use Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S

Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S is advised to be taken with a meal (it can be a light meal) orally (by mouth) with plenty of water to help aid the passage of the tablet. It is advised to ingest Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S before or after breakfast. Tablet is not to be crushed or chewed but instead swallowed whole.

Dosage

Adult Dosage

2-3 tablets of 6mg of the drug are prescribed to be ingested once every day, preferably in the morning time. Dosage may be increased or decreased (after a 2 week grace period) depending upon the patient’s symptoms and any adverse effects that may bother the patient. A maximum dose of 12 mg of the drug can be safely ingested by patients aged 18 years and above.

Child Dosage

A tablet of 6 mg of the drug is prescribed to be ingested once every day, preferably in the morning time. Dosage may be increased or decreased (after a 2-week grace period) depending upon the patient’s symptoms and any adverse effects that may bother the patient. Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S is not prescribed to patients aged 15 years and below.

Elderly Dosage 

Patients aged 65 years and above are prescribed a low dosage of Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S and when absolutely necessary, as it may worsen age-related dementia.

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S is deemed unsafe to be prescribed to pregnant and breastfeeding women. If you are undergoing treatment with Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S and become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately, the doctor will ask you to stop using Avega SR 6mg Tablet 10 ‘S.
