Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 3 inhibitors. Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S is a vaso-therapeutic agent that has several actions. Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S is used for widening blood vessels and for reducing the clotting activity of blood vessels. 

Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S is used to treat intermittent claudication. Intermittent claudication is the cramp-like pain in your legs that you feel when you walk. This pain is caused by the decreased blood supply to your legs. Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S can increase the distance you can walk by improving blood circulation. Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S is prescribed to patients whose symptoms have not improved after lifestyle modifications.

Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S can be used for:

How Does Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S Work

Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S hinders the activity of phosphodiesterase 3. This causes cyclic adenosine monophosphate to increase which in turn inhibits platelet clumping. This results in homogeneous vasodilation, especially in the femoral vascular areas. 

How To Use Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S

Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S comes in tablet form and can be swallowed with a drink of water. Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S should be taken 30 minutes before meals or 2 hours after meals. Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S should be taken at the same of the meal. If you take the Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S with large amounts of grapefruit juice it reduces the effect of the Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S. 

Dosage

The recommended dosage is

Adults

  • Two 50 mg tablets twice a day
  • One 100 mg tablet twice a day

Children

  • Not recommended in children

Pregnancy and Lactation

Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S is contraindicated during pregnancy. For breastfeeding, the mother’s use of Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S is not recommended. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor before starting the use of this Pletaal 100mg Tablet 10 ‘S. 

Contraindications
