Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S belongs to a group of medicines called antidepressants that treat depression. Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S contains the active ingredient agomelatine. Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S is used in adults to treat depression. Depression is a broad symptom that includes continuously disturbed moods that hinder everyday life activities. Symptoms include sadness, feelings of worthlessness, loss of interest in favorite hobbies, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and weight change. Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S aims to reduce and gradually remove the symptoms responsible for depression.
Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S causes side effects such as nausea, diarrhea or constipation, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, changes in the sleeping pattern, increased levels of liver enzymes, and tiredness.

Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S is a melatonergic agonist (MT1 and MT2 receptors) and 5-HT2C antagonist. Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S resynchronizes circadian rhythms in circadian rhythm disruption. Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S increases noradrenaline and dopamine release specifically in the frontal cortex.
How to use Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S?
Agoviz 25mg Tablet 7 ‘S is taken once daily orally at bedtime. After two weeks of treatment if there is no betterment in symptoms dose may be doubled by your doctor. Any dose increase should be made according to the patient’s benefits/risks which are based on strict LFT monitoring. Liver function tests should be carried out in all patients before treatment initiation. Treatment should not be started if transaminases exceed 3 times the upper limit of normal.
