Solosin SR 0.4mg Capsule 10 ‘S is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia as well as any difficulty a patient might face in urination.Solosin SR 0.4mg Capsule 10 ‘S belongs to a group of chemicals known as alpha blockers.These drugs have the ability to block alpha receptors present on the surface of smooth muscles in the body,thereby,causing the smooth muscles around and in the prostate,the bladder and urinary sphincter to relax and provide relief from undesirable symptoms.

Solosin SR 0.4mg Capsule 10 ‘S is to be ingested orally at least 30 minutes after having a meal (preferably after breakfast),once daily with plenty of water to help ease the passage of the capsule into the esophagus.Solosin SR 0.4mg Capsule 10 ‘S is started with a low dose and is increased after a 2 week grace period if the patient does not experience any severe adverse effects.Solosin SR 0.4mg Capsule 10 ‘S is not to be stopped abruptly or without the consent of a physician once symptoms disappear as that might lead to a resurgence of undesirable symptoms.

Elderly Dosage 

Elderly patients that are susceptible to kidney and liver problems,a lowered dose of Solosin SR 0.4mg Capsule 10 ‘S may be prescribed under the care and supervision of a physician.
