Description

Overview

{{Product}} (Isotretinoin) is a vitamin A derivative that is used to treat severe acne, specifically the one unresponsive to antibiotic therapy.

Using Myso 20mg Capsule 10 ‘S is associated with a high risk of birth defects and premature abortion if taken by women of childbearing potential. Therefore, women with childbearing potential or who are breastfeeding must not use it. Pregnancy must be excluded and effective contraceptive measures should be taken one month before use.

How Does Myso 20mg Capsule 10 ‘S Work

{{Product}} contains Isotretinoin as an active ingredient that works by reducing the production of sebum, and inflammation, and ceases the growth of acne-causing bacteria. Acne is characterized by inflammatory lesions and the formation of comedones. Reducing the formation of comedones prevents the blockage of pores through the reduction of hyperkeratinization. {{Product}} is also known to reduce the size of sebaceous glands, thereby making the environment less likely for bacterial colonization.

The initial dose is 0.5mg/kg body weight for four weeks (single dose or in two divided doses) which can be adjusted from 0.1 to 1mg/kg body weight for 8 to 12 weeks depending upon the response.

The second course of treatment can be initiated after two months of discontinuation if severe nodular acne reoccurs.
