Rabby 20mg Tablet 10 ‘S is available in form of tablets and capsules to be taken orally, usually once a day 30 minutes before breakfast or the first meal of the day,  or sometimes twice daily as suggested by the doctor. Rabby 20mg Tablet 10 ‘S is chemically composed of Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that decreases the amount of acid secreted by the stomach.  H+/K+ ATPase is an enzyme contained in the parietal cells of the stomach, involved in the acidification of the secretions from the stomach, and activates pepsin. PPIs block this enzyme and consequently the acid secretion.

How to use Rabby 20mg Tablet 10 ‘S

Rabby 20mg Tablet 10 ‘S is available as oral tablets and capsules to be swallowed with a glass of water through the mouth. It is either taken once or twice 30 minutes before morning and evening meals. Make sure not to take more than the suggested safe dose or as advised by your doctor. At times it is given in combination with other medicines to treat your symptoms, make sure not to skip any medicines. If your symptoms do not show any improvement, contact your doctor.

Adult Dosage

Duodenal and Benign Gastric Ulcers

4 weeks of therapy: 20 mg to be taken orally once a day, 30 minutes before breakfast or the first meal of the day

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

Daily Dose: 20 mg to be taken orally once a day, 30 minutes before breakfast or the first meal of the day for 4 to 8 weeks

Maintenance Dose:  20 mg to be taken orally once a day, for up to 12 months in case of erosive types 

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

Starting dose: 60 mg to be taken orally once a day

Dose Adjustment: the dose can be increased to 100 mg orally every day or 60 mg every 12 hours

Severe conditions may be treated for up to 12 months 

H.Pylori Infection

20 mg to be taken orally twice a day for 7 days in combination with antibiotics such as clarithromycin and amoxicillin

Child Dosage 

Discuss with your doctor about the safe age and dose for use in children. 

Less than 12 years: safe use is not determined 

12 years and more: 20 to be taken orally once a day for up to 8 weeks 

Elderly Dosage
