Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml is prescribed to patients suffering from increased intraocular pressure and glaucoma.Alpha 2 receptors in the eye are in charge of regulating intraocular pressure of the eye and thereby by selectively stimulating these receptors,Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml is able to reduce the production of fluid (aqueous humor) in the eye as well as causing an outflow of aqueous humor from the eye.Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml is not prescribed to patients under the age of 18 years and is prescribed to pregnant and lactating mothers only if necessary and under the supervision of a doctor.

A drop of Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml in each eye is the recommended dosage.The dosage can be increased to two drops or reduced depending on the patient’s stage of illness and any adverse effects felt by the patient.Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml must be applied with clean hands,make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn’t touch the surface of the eye or any other surface.It is imperative that the tip of the dropper/tube and hands are always clean before the application of Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml.Make sure to shake Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml immediately after each use.

To apply Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml,pull the head back slightly,then the lower eyelid is pulled down to create a small space where a drop of solution from the tip is applied.Close eye for a minute or two after Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml application,while applying pressure at the inner corner of the eye (area near the nose) to prevent solution from draining into the nasal and/or oral passages.Do not rub or blink after applying eye drops.If the recommended dosage is more than one drop of Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml then the above steps are to be repeated.{{product} may cause blurred vision,headache and dry eyes,these effects are temporary and tend to resolve on their own in a few days’ time.

Dosage

Adult Dosage 

A drop in each eye is recommended to patients to be applied twice daily.

Child Dosage 

Brimo Ophthalmic Solution 0.20% Solution 5 ml is not recommended for patients under the age of 18 years of age.
