Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml is prescribed to patients suffering from increased intraocular pressure and glaucoma.Alpha 2 receptors in the eye are in charge of regulating intraocular pressure of the eye and thereby by selectively stimulating these receptors,Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml is able to reduce the production of fluid (aqueous humor) in the eye as well as causing an outflow of aqueous humor from the eye.Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml is not prescribed to patients under the age of 18 years and is prescribed to pregnant and lactating mothers only if necessary and under the supervision of a doctor.

A drop of Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml in each eye is the recommended dosage.The dosage can be increased to two drops or reduced depending on the patient’s stage of illness and any adverse effects felt by the patient.Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml must be applied with clean hands,make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn’t touch the surface of the eye or any other surface.It is imperative that the tip of the dropper/tube and hands are always clean before the application of Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml.Make sure to shake Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Brimodine 0.20% Drop 5 ml immediately after each use.

Dosage

Adult Dosage 

A drop in each eye is recommended to patients to be applied twice daily.

Child Dosage
