Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S is most commonly used to enlarge the pupil so that eye tests for conditions such as Glaucoma, Macular degeneration, Diabetic retinopathy, and similar illnesses can be conducted easily and efficiently. Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S belongs to a group of chemicals known as Anticholinergics and thereby, works by preventing Acetylcholine and allowing for the relaxation of the eye muscles.

1-2 drops of Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S are to be applied. The dosage can be repeated after 10-15 minutes if need be Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S must be applied with clean hands, make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn’t touch the surface of the eye or any other surface. The tip of the dropper/tube and hands must be always clean before the application of Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S. How To Use Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S

Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S must be applied with clean hands, make sure the eyedropper or tube tip doesn’t touch the surface of the eye or any other surface. The tip of the dropper/tube and hands must be always clean before the application of Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S. Make sure to shake the Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S container well before each use and to replace the cap of the Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S immediately after each use.

To apply Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S, pull the head back slightly, then the lower eyelid is pulled down to create a small space where a drop of solution from the tip is applied. A close eye for a minute or two after Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S application, while applying pressure at the inner corner of the eye (area near the nose) to prevent the solution from draining into the nasal and/or oral passages. Do not rub or blink after applying eye drops. If the recommended dosage is more than one drop of Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S then the above steps are to be repeated.

Before applying any other eye drop that might be prescribed along with Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S, the patient is to wait 5-10 minutes. Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S is recommended to be applied at the same time each day and for the recommended period. Excess of Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S may be wiped clean with a clean tissue or cloth. Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S is not to be stopped abruptly even after experiencing a decrease in symptoms as Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S is meant to be tapered off and stopping it before time may even result in a return of the bacterial infection

There is a risk that Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S usage may result in stains on contact lenses and it is therefore advised to apply Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S a minimum of 15-20 minutes before wearing the contact lenses.

Dosage

Adult Dosage

1-2 drops are to be applied to each eye. Dosage may be repeated after 5-10 minutes if dilation of the eye is not sufficient 

Child Dosage

Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S is not prescribed to patients aged 30 days and below. For children aged 18 years and below,1-2 drops may be administered. Dosage may be repeated after 5-10 minutes if dilation of the eye is not sufficient 

Elderly Dosage 

1-2 drops are to be applied to each eye. Dosage may be repeated after 5-10 minutes if dilation of the eye is not sufficient 

Pregnancy Use And Lactation

Cylocil 1% 15ml Drop 1 ‘S may be prescribed to expectant mothers only if and when necessary, otherwise, the physician may prescribe an alternative drug to combat the same disease.   • Skin Rash- can be eased by applying soothing and healing lotions or creams such as calamine lotion/cream. Apply a cold compress to the rash helps reduce itchiness and redness caused by the rash. An antihistamine (prescribed by a doctor) is also recommended as an effective way to combat any skin rash.
  • Photosensitivity – patients are asked to wear sun-protective clothing when going outside including gloves and a hat, to apply generous amounts of broad-spectrum sunblock along with wearing sunglasses.
