Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml has been designed as a chemotherapy drug, prescribed most to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, Kaposi’s sarcoma about AIDS as well as advanced lung cancer. How To Use Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml

Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml is injected slowly into the patient’s veins (intravenously) by a trained healthcare professional. The area where the needle is to pierce the skin is first disinfected with an alcohol swab or any other disinfectant that the hospital has. Then the needle was uncapped, and the solution was injected into the body. The area of the skin where the needle enters may slightly bruise or remain sore for 24 hours. After the injection the needle prick is pressed down (by hand) for 20 seconds, to make sure there is no bleeding and then a band-aid is placed on top.

Dosage

Adult Dosage

After a 3-week interval, this dosage is to be repeated, for the rest of the treatment period. Cisplatin is commonly prescribed along with Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml if so, then Cisplatin (75mg/m²) may be infused right after Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml. In case Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml is being used in combination with Doxorubicin (50mg/m²); it is advised to administer 220mg/m² of the drug,24 hours after Doxorubicin.

For Second-Line Treatment of Cancer: 175mg/m² of Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml may be prescribed, to be infused into the patient’s bloodstream over 3 hours. After a 3-week interval, this dosage is to be repeated, for the rest of the treatment period.

For Treatment Of AIDS-Related Kaposi’s Sarcoma: 100mg/m² of the drug may be prescribed, to be infused into the patient’s bloodstream over 3 hours. After a 2-week interval, this dosage is to be repeated, for the rest of the treatment period.

Child Dosage

Intaxel 100mg Injection 17 ml is not prescribed to patients aged 18 years and below.

Elderly Dosage
